The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has withdrawn Kaduna corps member Oyaje Daniel from his Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) at Judeen International School, Mando, after a viral online comment he made about teenage female students.
Daniel was summoned before the NYSC State Disciplinary Committee and appeared with his CDS President, his alumni president, Comr. Philip Ayuba Bobai, and activist John Adesogan. Officials noted that he appeared sober and remorseful.
Pending investigation, the NYSC has redeployed him to its Kaduna Headquarters for the rest of his service year under strict supervision. Although accommodation is available, he is not permitted to use it and must report daily.
An investigative panel will also visit his former PPA to verify if any misconduct occurred beyond the online post. Other corps members who made similar comments are also being monitored for disciplinary action.
The NYSC emphasized that the case serves as a warning against irresponsible social media behavior and reiterated its zero-tolerance for actions that undermine its values or endanger the community.
