The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates will be able to access the correction of name and change of name services later this month.
The Registrar also disclosed that JAMB is currently in discussions with the *National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)* to address issues arising from discrepancies between candidates’ NIN information and their JAMB profiles.
According to him, JAMB is already working on the matter and efforts are ongoing to resolve the challenges.
In the meantime, candidates have been advised to ensure that their details on their NIN are correct and up to date, as the information linked to their *NIN* remains important to their JAMB records.
Candidates experiencing name-related discrepancies are therefore advised to exercise patience while JAMB and NIMC work towards resolving the issue.
More updates will be provided once the correction and change of name services become available.
