It has come to the notice of NYSC Management of a PressRelease purportedly issued by the National Youth ServiceCorps, conveying plan to extend the registration date inrespect of 2024 Batch “B” Orientation programme.
Management hereby states that the said release, signedby one Samad Abdullahi, and unsuspectingly quoted bysome bloggers as originating from the Scheme is fake anddid not originate from NYSC. For the purposes ofinformation, the NYSC registration portal experienced aglitch on Saturday 8th June, 2024.
Prospective CorpsMembers were immediately notified of the problem in theNYSC portal. When the issue was rectified, registrationby Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) continued on thesame day. Upon reaching the maximum number of PCMsrequired for the incoming batch in line with the carryingcapacities of the 37 NYSC Orientation Camps nationwide,the portal was shutdown accordingly. While apologising tothe PCMs who could not register for Service beforeregistration was discontinued, Management wishes toassure them that the portal will reopen for 2024 Batch“B” Stream II on a date that will be announced later.
Criminally-minded individuals who have the penchant ofissuing fake press releases on NYSC operations arewarned to desist forthwith, as anyone caught will behanded over to the Law enforcement agents forprosecution.
