The University of Ilorin has postponed some Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations scheduled for Monday, February 2, 2026, due to a technical breakdown at the CBT Centre.
The postponement was announced in an internal memorandum issued by the Committee on the Development and Administration of the Computer-Based Test (CDCBT), signed by its Chairman, Professor A. Tella, and addressed to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics). The memo explained that an unexpected power outage, coupled with the failure of the backup generator, made it impossible to conduct the examinations as planned.
All affected examinations have now been rescheduled to Monday, February 16, 2026. Only students who were unable to sit for their examinations due to the disruption are expected to participate in the rescheduled session, while those who completed their exams before the incident are not required to retake them.
Students who were earlier allowed to leave the CBT Centre for written examinations but could not return due to the power failure will also be accommodated. Lecturers have been directed to set fresh questions to ensure examination integrity.
University authorities have advised all affected students to take note of the new date and comply strictly with the revised examination schedule.
