The National Examinations Council on Wednesday announced the release of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination results.
According to a statement by the Acting Director of Public Affairs of NECO, Azeez Sani, a total of 179,201 candidates registered for the examination in 12 subjects.Meanwhile, the award committee has approved the date and timetable for the 2025 BECE resit.
“The resit examination is scheduled to be held on 23rd and 24th July 2025 for Mathematics and English Studies,” the statement read. The examination, which commenced on 12th May 2025, was concluded on 23rd May 2025.
The statement held that the result of the examination was released following the conclusion of the 2025 BECE Award Committee meeting held at the council’s headquarters in Minna.The statement read, “The National Examinations Council has released the results of the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination.“A total of 179,201 candidates registered for the examination in 12 subjects.“
The examination which commenced on 12th May 2025, was successfully concluded on 23rd May 2025.”The award committee meeting was also attended by some secondary school principals across the country, as well as the NECO management.
