The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, has approved the appointment of Dr. Ibrahim Ogirima Salawu as the Acting Director of the Centre for Politics and Corporate Governance.
The appointment, contained in a letter dated November 18, 2025, and signed by the Registrar, places Dr. Salawu in the role for a one-year term.
Dr. Salawu, an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics and Governance, is a scholar of political institutions, governance, and public policy. He has served as the Sub-Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies since March 2024.
He obtained his Ph.D. from the International Islamic University, Malaysia, in 2016, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria.
He is also a member of the American Political Science Association, Canadian Political Science Association, and the Nigerian Political Science Association.
Widely regarded as a respected voice in public discourse, Dr. Salawu is also known for his contributions as a public affairs analyst.
